The organization was formed to promote public awareness of the historical significance and cultural richness in the Temple of Ramesses Ii at Abydos, and to assist in every way possible in the conservation, information, education, restoration and maintenance of this historical monument from thirteenth century bc. This includes all professional, admin, contribution, and publication fees paid.in direct furtherance of this purpose, the foundation supported active on-site restoration and conservation work performed by professional teams and local specialists and carried out related administrative activities necessary to support these efforts.
