Irvine Police Explorers

To train the youth of today for the future that awaits them in the law enforcement field of tomorrow; to stimulate interest in law enforcement practices and the explorer code of ethics; to promote self-confidence and responsibility; to provide specific services to the community and the department by performing functions to relieve sworn officers for other assignments. The Irvine Police Explorers is organized under the auspices of boy scouts of America, through learning for life. Activities of the post will include efforts in the prevention and deterrence of crime, assisting Police officers on ride-a-longs, movement of traffic, working community events, community disaster relief and other public service. Recreational opportunities and field trips of the post will include educational pursuits or community service.
