The organization was formed to provide a source of community outreach, education, awareness, and prevention of the disease of anorexia. The organization seeks to educate individuals, particularly the youth, about the dangers of anorexia, and to reduce the rate and severity of anorexia in our society. The organization aims to support individuals and families affected by anorexia and support organizations which seek prevention, improved access to quality treatment, and increased research.
