Hunger Coalition of the Lowcountry

The primary purpose of the organization is to end childhood Hunger in the hilton head island community. The organization, through its backpack buddies and fresh produce programs, provides food, snacks, and fresh produce to early childhood, elementary, middle, and high school children during the school year. During the summer and at after-school programs, it provides fresh produce for the children to take home to their families and healthy snacks at summer school programs. In addition, it provides holiday gift bags, grocery gift cards, and scholastic books to the children and their families.
