Through the end of 2015, the Amnion Foundation had developed a detailed plan to build a public stem cell bank. In 2016, the Foundation shifted into execution mode, completing the build out of its cleanroom and banking facility, hiring it's first technician, and an executive director. The Foundation also began to assemble the appropriate Quality Assurance infrastructure to allow FDA compliant tissue banking processes. BY the end of 2016, the Foundation was receiving the first tissue samples for training purposes and regulatory validation runs. This positions the Foundation to begin banking tissues for human clinical use in 2017. The Foundation continued these operations through 2024.
