Tampabay-JOB-LINKS (TBJL) is a supportive community where people gain relevant job-search and career transition skills, helping them find employment to sustain themselves and their families. By helping people to define their marketable worth, giving them knowledge, building their self-confidence, and minimizing barriers to employment, we prepare our clients to find meaningful work. TBJL pairs each Career Coaching Program participant with a professional career coach who works with them individually throughout the job-search process. Coaching covers everything from identifying a career path and developing a self-marketing plan, to creating resumes and cover letters, building networking skills, using social media as a job-search tool, practicing interviews with coaches and volunteers, identifying transferable skills and re-careering, and connecting to community for informational appointments, and job opportunities.
