Oakwood Band Parents Association

The Oakwood Band Parents association exists to promote, publicize and organize events associated with the city of Oakwood public schools band programs for children in all levels and types of bands. The association provides support for unique and ongoing programs within the band curriculum, scholarhips, equipment, music and other items needed by band programs that are not provided by the school. They connect talented individuals within the community who provide their experiences and expertise to students in the bands. The association believes that music in the schools promotes academic achievement in all areas of study and that support is essential because school funding for music is always at risk
