Operation Open Arms is dedicated to enhancing the well-being of children with incarcerated parents. Our mission is to improve the lives of children with incarcerated parents and vulnerable children by providing a loving, nurturing, and stable home environment while concurrently coordinating essential services for their parents. OOA provides three unique programs (incarceration support, recovery support, and adoption services) and a kids clothes closet. Our programs, delivered by master's level social workers, provide temporary homes for children, respite care, and case management. Our staff continue providing support services for up to two years after family reunification with the goal of stabilization and a foundation of support. Our vision is to reduce trauma in the lives of children and mothers.
