Ross County Fair

A non-profit organization operating under the laws of the state of Ohio., policies of the Ohio department of agriculture and the laws of Ross County. The organization was previously under group exemption number 6181 obtained by the Ohio County and independent agricultural societies. However, the organization applied and was granted its own exemption by the irs effective march 10, 2020. The Ross County agricultural society was formed in 1944 with its purpose being for the encouragement and improvement of agriculture, domestic, industry, public schools and other such interest in Ross County Ohio. The board of directors are elected by members of the organization. Any person over 18 years of age residing in Ross County Ohio is eligible for membership. Currently, the cost of membership is $5 per year. The board consist of twenty one members - one from each of the 16 townships, 3 from the city of chillicothe corporation limits and two at-large members. All terms are for 3 years.
