Reinhard St Community Farm and Kitchen

Reinhard Street Community Farm & Kitchen Reinhard Street operates an urban farm where it grows free food for local Community members using regenerative agricultural practices. Reinhard Street began stewardship of twenty-six vacant lots in Southwest Philadelphia each surrounding the organizations property at 6171 Reinhard Street Philadelphia PA 19142. It has since transformed those lots into a space where volunteers and local Community members engage in farming gardening and land stewardship. This transformation has allowed the farm to serve as a source of neighborhood beautification. Operation of the farm addresses food insecurity in the local neighborhood by providing fresh healthy produce at no cost to low-income and elderly Community residents. Operation of the farm currently takes up 100 percent of the organizations total time but this number will decrease to approximately 60 percent once the below operations are in full effect.
