Shimon Ben Joseph Foundation

The Jim Joseph foundation's emergent strategy supports bold new approaches to Jewish life that reflect the identities, values, and needs of young jews today-especially those not engaged by traditional institutions. Through research, experimentation, and incubation, the strategy explores and advances ideas that broaden what Jewish meaning and community can look like. Common era is the foundation's platform for this work. It brings these ideas to life through targeted initiatives, partnerships, and prototypes designed to reflect the diversity of contemporary Jewish experience. In 2024, common era launched 18 research and experimentation projects, incubated 17 new initiatives, and debuted its website: www.commonera.org.
