The Nolichucky Restoration Project NRP is dedicated to restoring the Nolichucky River and its tributaries which were severely impacted by Hurricane Helene. Our mission goes beyond cleanup. We are actively assisting property owners not only with debris removal but also Restoration work including but not limited to rebuilding fencing driveways drainage culverts erosion control and replanting of Native trees and grasses. We are committed to working with and educating the community to foster active participation. Community involvement is vital for ensuring the long-term health of our watershed which serves agricultural commercial and recreational needs. Together through hands-on stewardship and collaboration we can build a sustainable future that not only protects but also enhances the rich natural resources and stunning landscapes of East Tennessee.
