Granting of scholarships - The Marina Callisen Memorial Fund Inc. conducts charitable and educational activities primarily through the awarding of scholarships to individuals pursuing post-secondary education in healthcare-related fields. The Foundation provides financial assistance to students seeking degrees or certifications that support careers in healthcare including but not limited to nursing. Scholarship recipients are selected by the Foundations Board of Directors through an application and interview process. Selection is based on objective and nondiscriminatory criteria including financial need commitment to education enrollment in an accredited educational institution and maintenance of good academic standing. Scholarship funds are restricted to qualified educational expenses such as tuition and required fees and are paid directly to the educational institution.
