The corporation is organized and shall be operated for the purposes set forth herein. The general purpose of the corporation is to encourage volunteerism and creating opportunities for volunteers to assist various nonprofit organizations, focusing on the general welfare and living conditions of individuals and families, with overall goal to promote a more just, equitable and compassionate society through promoting volunteerism. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the corporation shall have the following specific purposes; to stimulate and encourage volunteerism, by creating and connecting volunteers with meaningful projects to benefit nonprofit organizations working with low income and other persons in need; to engender public support for and to increase public awareness of, the need to participate in and to promote volunteerism; to participate in and receive grants, loans or payment from or through government and private persons for the expenses associated with creating
