The YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago (YMCA) works to strengthen individuals, families, and communities across Metropolitan Chicago and throughout the Midwest with the goal of providing them with the resources to help them learn, grow, and thrive. Our fourteen community hubs, five resident camps, and dozens of extension sites promote learning, health and wellbeing, community investment, and economic equity through a variety of high quality, research-based programs and services. Ultimately, the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago aims to strengthen community by connecting all people to their purpose, potential, and each other. Our impact is felt every day when an individual makes a healthy choice, when a mentor inspires a child, and when a community comes together for a common good. As one of the oldest, largest, and most established nonprofit organizations in Chicago, the YMCA works to strengthen neighborhoods by responding to the unique needs of each community.
