To promote, develop, maintain, and oversee a sailing school; to engage in the promotion and development of sailing activities; and to develop and engage in instructional and educational activities and programs related to sailing in the town of dartmouth, Massachusetts.to preserve and protect old and historic buildings in dartmouth, Massachusetts, including specifically the clubhouse of the New Bedford Yacht Club, in order to perpetuate the further education of posterity with regard to the architectural, historic, and general cultural heritage of the dartmouth area.
