Michigan Alternative Education Organization

The Michigan Alternative Education Organization is a statewide organization that has two primary programmatic purposes. The organization provides networking and professional development opportunities for teachers and administrators who work in Alternative Education schools and programs across the state of Michigan. Secondly MAEO Stars is three single day events conducted for students enrolled in Alternative Education programs. These are designed to allow Alternative Education students to gather together and share common experiences. The three days focus primarliy on career readiness and civic engagement. One day is held in the fall and two days are held in the spring of each year
