To educate, encourage, assist and serve the families and friends of alcoholics through: 1. Seminars offering speakers and panels made up of people who have had personal experience as one affected by alcoholism in a friend or family member. 2. Conducting workshops for al-anon members who volunteered to sponsor alateen meetings. 3. The printing and distribution of a quarterly newsletter containing information regarding state, area and local al-anon activities; personal sharing of al-anon members on topics related to self-improvement and al-anon related interests; minutes of state business meetings as well as financial reports. 4. Sponsoring and assisting alateens in their state conventions. 5. Attendance of the state delegate at the world service conference representing Michigan to determine world wide al-anon policies. 6.
