Providing scholarships to deserving students; to promote continuing education; to support programs in high schools, technical centers vocational schools, colleges, and universities; to further community enrichment through support of area charitable organizations' activities that cannot be conducted in-house due to funding and infrastructure limitations. To educate the public in conjunction with the Michigan department of agriculture and others regarding the benefits of buying local and eating fresh produce. To inform the public regarding changes to food assistance programs/benefits. To encourage access to healthy, fresh and sustainably grown food.
