The foundation's founder, HENRY Uihlein, directed that, if possible, his property not be turned into a commercial or residential development. Accordingly, the foundation has renovated and restored its rather extensive farmhouse and makes it available to regional not-for-profit organizations as a venue for meetings, seminars, retreats, fund-raisers and the like. An updated (but not "commercial") kitchen is available along with fiber-supported wi-fi. In pre-covid years, the building would host around 3,000 visitors a year. In 2021, the building reopened after the pandemic in june and saw about 1050 visitors during the remainder of the year. In 2022 the number increased to 2,196. The year 2023 saw 2,046 visitors with that number increasing slightly in 2024 to 2348. Estimated allocation of expenses (including major repairs which were allocated to cost basis)
