Hand by Hand Community Development (HBHCD) helps create sustainable housing that builds safe and stable communities. Employing equitable and clear guidelines, our goal is to support the renovation and creation of houses for homeowners who, due to unfortunate circumstances, find themselves in dire financial need with the prospect of living in unsustainable conditions or at risk of their homes becoming uninhabitable. Our non-profit utilizes grassroots fundraising, seeks grants and in-kind support, sells arts and crafts, and produces cultural Community events to accomplish its goals. The organization was founded in the spirit of kindness and generosity of Elizabeth Hand who, during her life, gave everything she had to help others.
