Iowa Freedom of Information Council

The Council is organized exclusively as a nonpartisan, nonprofit education and advocacy organization that works to promote and preserve transparency and open, accessible and accountable state and local government in iowa. The Council pursues its mission through education of citizens, journalists and government officials and employees, through advocacy initiatives in the iowa legislature and in state and federal courts.
