The organizations mission is to create a professional Board of Myofascial trigger point therapists and health professionals to administer a voluntary Certification program and re-Certification process to recognize successful applicants as certifieed Myofascial trigger point therapists and to engage in related activities as allowable by law, in order to promote the common interests of Myofascial trigger point therapists of promoting professional standards and methods in the profession , establishing and maintaining the integrity of the profession, and providing to the public a means of identifying qualifies Myofascial trigger point therapists.
