To undertake community Development activities that included Housing, neighborhood improvement and economic Development within the 13th ward, and other communities within the city's North side. RWFDC has been an established grass roots non-profit organization that has been providing community-based services within the City of St. Louis for over 25 years. Due to our "boots on the ground," oriented programming, we have witnessed both the effects and the outcomes that the negative social issues have had on the families in our community. Violence, poverty, lack of health insurance, homelessness, drug addiction, loss of employment, loss of family structure, loss due to death, untreated mental health issues, along with a struggling education system all directly correlate to the city's spike in crime, which has unfortunately become a "normal way of life" the majority of the residents and the families we serve.
