Since 1999 CASA has served the immigrant and homeless communities through a combination of volunteer-driven programing and partnering with local social service organizations. We provided room and board to Latina and between 2014 and 2018non Latina women and families who are homeless in crisis or temporarily unable to meet their most basic human needs. Beginning in January 2019 following the loss of funding for providing housing for homeless women and children we initiated a program to provide housing and other supports to persons seeking asylum in the US. We are guided by the principles of the Catholic Worker House to assist those who are marginalized by language immigration or other barriers; to empower them and help discover new ways to stabilize their individual situation
