The present, future and planned activities of the LOS Angeles County Sheriff's Department foundation, a California non-profit public benefit corporation include without limitation: (a) supporting the mission of the LOS Angeles County Sheriff's Department by providing various resources to the Department so as to assist the Department in the development of innovative programs and projects; (b) promote and encourage citizen involvement in the activities of the Department through increased communications and prioritization of policy services; and (c) provide assistance and support to those serving as employees in the Department by increasing the public awareness of the role of the police officer in a modern society.
