Maine Womens Giving Tree

MWGT is a charity that distributes grants to local organizations to promote the welfare of women, children and families. Members pay a yearly membership fee of $50 to operate the organization and pay bills. During the calendar year members donate a minimum of $365 that is awarded as grants in the following year. 15 grant were awarded to non-profit organizations totaling $96,001 after a rigorous evaluation process that includes at least 25% of the membership.
