Minuteman Health inc. MHI is in liquidation while still active it provided Health insurance to individuals and employers in ma and nh. On august 2 2017 an order of rehabilitation was filed with the supreme judicial court for suffolk county the court. The acting commissioner of insurance for the commonwealth of Massachusetts and his successor in office was appointed as receiver of MHI for the purpose of rehabilitating MHI and conserving its assets under g.l.c. 176g paragraphs 20 and 20a and g.l.c. 175 paragraph 180b. As of december 31 2017 all MHI member policies were terminated. On april 25 2018 an order of liquidation was entered by the court. The commissioner of insurance was appointed as liquidator of MHI. On september 14 2022 an order authorizing the final distribution of assets destruction of records filing of necessary tax returns and closing of this proceeding was entered by the court.
