The World CUP of Gardening is dedicated to educating citizens about horticulture and Gardening, environmental sustainability, urban farming, urban Gardening, ecological schoolyards and playgrounds, and the enhancement of blighted urban areas through in-kind contributions of plant material, labor, and financial contributions. To achieve its mission the World CUP of Gardening will organize and host an annual garden event in a natural setting within a designated major metropolitan city in the United States, with affiliate events occurring throughout the year in other major metropolitan cities. The annual event will consist of a garden design and build competition between prominent international garden designers, and will feature multi-lingual educational sessions and lectures on horticulture, Gardening, environmental sustainability, urban farming, urban Gardening, ecological schoolyards and playgrounds, and the enhancement of blighted areas of major metropolitan cities.
