The Bolivar County Long Term Disaster Recovery Committee's purpose is to work together to address the unmet needs of residents of Bolivar County, Mississippi in response to a County, state or federally declared Disaster; to provide spiritual, emotional, and physical resources to those affected by the Disaster(s), particularly those needs not met by FIMA, MEMA, the Red Cross, and other agencies, regardless of ethnicity, religious preference, gender, or disability, especially those most vulnerable to having needs overlooked in the Recovery processes; to provide collaborative leadership in the discernment of Long-Term needs, coordinate management, resources, personnel, and volunteers of the Long-Term Recovery process; and to provide ongoing preparedness within the community for relief in Disaster contingencies and provide simplified access to services for affected residents.
