The Lake Erie Heritage Foundation is dedicated to preserving, promoting, and celebrating the rich cultural, historical or environmental legacy of Lake Erie including the surrounding communities. Through information, education programs, events, and commemoration we honor the pivotal role Lake Erie has played in shaping the history of our region and our nation-from the birth of American independence to the defining moments of the War of 1812 and beyond. We strive to inspire stewardship, ignite civic pride and increase awareness. Through engagement we will connect future generations with the enduring spirit of freedom, resilience and unity that flows from Lake Erie's shores.
