The Ladybug CDH Foundation serves two primary purposes. The first is to provide support and resources for families with children diagnosed with congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH). The Ladybug CDH Foundation helps families with hospital bills, travel and meal costs, supplies that are required to equip households to bring home children with CDH, and funeral expenses during their time of need. The second purpose is to fund research for CDH at various institutions to further the diagnosis and treatment of CDH. The Ladybug Run is the main fundraiser for the the Ladybug CDH Foundation. The main sources of revenue for the foundation are race registrations, sponsorships, and individual and corporate donations. The Ladybug Run and various smaller events throughout the year are put on to increase awareness of this rare but devastating birth defect as well as provide a support outlet for friends and families with a connection to CDH.
