To promote Aphasia awareness and provide communication support and resources to individuals with Aphasia and their families or support teams to assist in reconnecting and rebuilding their lives after diagnosis. This nonprofit organization seeks to Network people together through its programs and activities. We view these connections or reconnections as the threads that cross and create a fabric or structure of support for those with Aphasia and their families or support networks. The Aphasia Network is formed by AN interconnected group of individuals consisting of persons with Aphasia, their family or loved ones, allied rehabilitation professionals, educators and care providers, all with the common thread of Aphasia. Just as the effects of Aphasia become interwoven throughout lives, the Aphasia Network's activities contribute programs that focus on quality of life, community and support, and daily life survival resources.
