IJLA is an independent charter school within the cps system serving out- of-school youth. IJLA engages students between the ages 16-21 in a unique and rigorous social justice curriculum. The school's vision is to empower out-of-school youth to reengage as students who become decision makers in their own life, to take ownership of their education, and to use it to become productive agents of change.
