In 2024 the finn foundation medical team completed their annual medical mission trip to guatemala. On this trip, they operated on 35 patients at the moore center (the shalom foundation) in guatemala city. These surgeries included microtia repairs, cleft lip/palate repairs, and other reconstructive procedures to address congenital deformities. The team is made up of facial plastic surgeons, nurses, crnas, surgical techs, as well as a logistics coordinator. Every member of the team performs this work pro-bono. No money is paid for their work. Their time and expertise are all donated to the cause. The f.I.n.n. Foundation pays for the cost of the facility, and medical supplies necessary to complete the 35 surgeries. Witnessing the joy on the faces of the patients and their families means the world to us!
