Mlpo is working to support the advancement of justice and equality for people of color with a particular emphasis on the Latino community, by (1) advancing equal employment opportunities in law enforcement and criminal justice professions, (2) providing a network for the development and support of careers in law enforcement and criminal justice, (3) cultivating strong relationships among law enforcement professionals and their surrounding communities, (4) providing educational trainings, workshops, and resources for the community on issues of public safety, health, and wellness, and (5) fostering educational pursuits for youth interested in law enforcement and criminal justice education through scholarships and other financial support.
