The purpose of Storeytime, Inc. is to increase public awareness of the musical abilities and musical potential of persons with Autism. Specifically we are targeting four populations or groups. They are: (1) the general public; (2) school administrators, music educators and teachers; (3) parents of persons with Autism; and (4) persons with Autism. Along with increasing public awareness we have the secondary purpose of reducing the barriers for persons with Autism as they pursue musical careers or non-career musical interests. Most of the current barriers for these individuals involve preconceived notions by the public, school administrators, teachers, and parents as to what the capabilities and potential achievements are for persons with Autism.
