(hsl Hospice) is to honor our elders, by respecting and promoting their independence, spiritual vigor, dignity and choice, and by recognizing that they are a resource to be cherished. As part of our mission, we accept special responsibility for the frailest and neediest members of our community who are most dependent on our care. Hsl Hospice seeks to fulfill its mission by: - maintaining the dignity, comfort, and spiritual wellbeing of seniors in the greater Boston community - empowering seniors and their families to make wellinformed decisions as they move through the endoflife experience - optimizing the quality of the experience for both patients and their families - easing patients' pain and anxiety - helping patients achieve emotional and spiritual wholeness - supporting patients and their families through the confusing weeks and months of terminal illness, and - remaining close by as family members and close friends begin to heal from their loss.
