EIN 46-1823147 · Snapshot of IRS recognition, filing currency, financial health, and governance.
Sheep NOT Goats worked in Nicaragua to help the poor there, primarily by providing the opportunity to work either on our farm there or knitting baby blankets that we have trained a small group of women to knit. We also engaged in benevolent activities such as helping people with food support, feeding seniors in the community, and helping with urgent medical needs. In finalizing our cessation of operations, it was determined in conjunction with our board to invest in ways that our then-current workers could continue without us through their own enterprises, including but not limited to transfer of the farm property to existing workers as a form of cooperative arrangement, all done legally via our attorney in Nicaragua.
