The JP Opioid Interaction Awareness Alliance (formerly the jp prescription drug Awareness foundation) has been organized to: 1) promote Awareness and education of accidental prescription drug overdoses. It is our desire to educate and raise Awareness with children, parents and the medical community. There is an epidemic of accidental prescription drug overdoses that is not widely known. By raising Awareness, we believe we can help prevent unnecessary deaths from prescription drugs. 2) help create more rigor in the medical community as it pertains to how prescription drugs get prescribed. We want to see more legislation created to protect the consumers when being treated and prescribed drugs. 3) research: to identify which substances are causing the overdoses and how to medicate people differently to avoid a deadly dose of any prescription drug.
