EIN 46-2095293 · Snapshot of IRS recognition, filing currency, financial health, and governance.
To provide eye care programs to poor, distressed, underprivileged needy or at risk children. This includes, but is not limited to, providing eye exams and prescription glasses as well as other preventative eye care services. Allowing access to better vision for these children will allow them to succeed in school and participate in athletic programs. Success in school and participation in athletics makes the child less likely to be at risk for gang recruitment or to participate in detrimental behavior. This allows the child an opportunity to graduate from high school and become a productive and successful member of society. In addition, due to the economic climate, many families are facing financial hardship. Laspa Cares for kids has an "adopt a family" program that provides meals and toys for those families that struggle through the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday seasons.
