Chip in for habitat, inc, is a 501(c)(3) organization whose sole purpose is to raise funds and build homes under the auspices of habitat for humanity. It is run by a coalition board composed of parishioners from Catholic churches. The board actively works to raise funds through donations and recruits volunteers for habitat for humanity to support their mission of seeking to put god's love into action. Habitat for humanity brings people together to build homes,communities,and hope. This is done through pulpit appeals at participating churches and emails to members. The coalition board spends about 60% of their time raising funds and recruiting volunteers, 30% building homes, and 10% on administrative activities. All of the funds raised are used to support the building of new homes and the remodeling or repairing of existing homes for families in need through habitat for humanity.
