Chesapeake Parrot Sanctuary

Our mission is to protect and prevent the suffering of parrots in captivity by providing rescue and Sanctuary to abused, neglected, unwanted and senior parrots. We provide all of our residents with a nutritious mostly organic diet, certified avian veterinary care and natural forms of enrichment. The icarus foundation, inc.'s Chesapeake Parrot Sanctuary is available to the public to promote responsible ownership and proper Parrot care through education and owner support. Parrots and other exotic birds represent the largest population of captive wildlife in the United States.
