To aid economically disadvantaged persons living in the Western New York area by doing the following:1) aiding individuals and families who are in need of food by conducting an annual food drive and distributing all food collected free of charge to such individuals and families during the month of Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic calendar in each year2) creating opportunities for young people to participate as volunteers in the planning and operation of the annual food drive and other activities to aid economically disadvantaged members of the Western New York community3) soliciting funds from the public and to obtain governmental funding for the purpose of supporting the foregoing objectives and purposes.
