Our mission is to promote the development of emergency call taking and dispatch, to strengthen the development and implementation of enhanced 911 service statewide through public informational dissemination programs and advocacy designed to improve public safety and emergency service throughout the State of New York. The organization hosts annual conferences. Members of the organization also participate on regional and State committees related to the 911 industry, such as the nys 911 board administered by the nys homeland security. The conferences are used to explore and master training on various 911 related topics. Vendors attend the conferences to help develop ways to incorporate new technology, including equipment, hardware and software, to enhance 911 services statewide.
