Our mission is to Rescue, foster, transport, and find homes for unwanted, abandoned and abused dogs in the Carolinas. Halfway There Rescue's goal is to pull at-risk pets from over-crowded shelters in North and South Carolina, place them in temporary foster homes, and ultimately find them permanent, loving homes. We also offer a community outreach program that provides free veterinary care, including spay/neuter, for those who cannot afford services for their pets. In 2025, Halfway There Rescue rescued and found homes for 207 animals. All animals are fully vetted & sterilized before finding their forever homes. Collaboratively with Project Safe Pet, Halfway There Rescue assisted with spay/neuter of over 1511 cats and 425 dogs in 3 local counties.
