The VESF serves as a supportive body, which offers enrichment to the students, teachers and families of Viejo Elementary School through fund- raising and the support of educational, cultural and physical needs. The foundation programs and activities include: 1) supporting an extended School year summer camp program. 2) supporting the science lab & curriculum activities. 3) raising funds to provide information technology hardware, software, and infrastructure improvements and other identified School needs. All of the planned activities are conducted by volunteer board members, parents, and community members. With reduced educational funding from the state, one of the aims of the VESF is to address the funding gap that would prevent the above mentioned enrichment programs from continuing. The activities supported by the VESF ensure that the educational opportunities offered to the students of Viejo Elementary School through these programs will continue into the future.
