During the year, the IEI was involved in: presentation and communication to interested parties the unique historical qualities of Ivory that makes its use for artistic, cultural, practical and decorative purposes manadatory. Attendance at conferences relating to international trade in endangered species. Review and monitoring of pending litigation and changes to the current fish and wildlife regulations governing the trade and movement of Ivory objects.
