Backpack Buddies Seabrook Island

To provide weekend food to public school children in need. The mission of Backpack Buddies Seabrook Island (BPBSI) is to provide a bag of nutritious food to children for weekends and school holidays. The children receiving the food are identified as being in need by school and county officials as being food insecure on weekends and school holidays. BPBSI is an all-volunteer organization that has no employees nor pays compensation or benefits. BPBSI raises funds and then the all-volunteer network purchase and pack individual bags which are delivered to the school for distribution to the individual child.
