Playwrights Program -- An annual program to identify and support new works of theater. In 2024 the Foundation produced two developmental readings--Everything I Learned in America I Learned on Grindr by Yilong Liu and SNORE by Max Posner. Professional casting services were provided for each reading and in-depth discussions with cast and creatives invited in consultation with the playwrights. The scale and emphasis of each reading differed depending on the needs of the respective script. Everything I Learned was approached with an eye to ongoing revisions while SNORE was presented to an invited industry audience to solicit feedback and also invite future commercial sponsorship or production from NYC theaters. It is our belief that these readings provided valuable opportunities which increased the likelihood of these worthy authors works being produced and thus coming to greater public attention.
